CINEMATOGRAPHY - Pious Son

A son confronts his dying father from whom he has grown apart as he has grown up. Both father and son are unable to accept each other, and express this as hatred toward one another.

Filmed at the Vancouver Film School, the film features English and Catanoese spoken languages. Pious Son is a short dramatic film shot on super 16 on Vision2 500 tungsten. To give the film the look of Hong Kong films from the 90s it was shot in a high key lighting and filmed using Fresnel, kino flos, and natural lighting.
